Digital marketing and content assistants help convey the story of how few of us go to our consumers. This role is responsible for content creation, day-to-day strategy, active and passive digital engagement, monitoring, social listening and the development of Two Roads social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and other emerging channels. Content Assistant also works on the front lines of engaging with consumer bases of both paths through creative, interactive and innovative content delivery across digital media and platforms.

Working relationship:

This position reports to the Marketing Director and works closely with the rest of the marketing team to ensure all content is aligned with brand positioning goals. This position may sometimes supervise interns.

Basic Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create exciting and engaging content for social media with short videos, photos and graphics.
  • Plan and execute social media strategies on Two Roads, Zone 2, H2Roads and Daybreaker Cocktails social platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, etc., as applicable).
  • Extend consumer promotions and brand campaigns to social media.
  • Get and publish interesting and relevant (brand and craft industry) content daily through social media channels.
  • Create and manage social content calendars for all brand platforms.
  • Maintain and update relevant content, news, blog posts and other timely information from the Two Roads branded website through the WordPress platform.
  • Identify, monitor and educate the rest of the team about new technology trends and social media applications.
  • Monitor and respond as needed on both social media channels on a regular basis.
  • Build an influencer network and manage outreach.
  • Track and report the growth of both paths across all platforms and brands with relevant KPIs and metrics assessments.
  • Provide monthly activity reports on all social media channels.
  • Compare the social performance of the two roads with other craft competitors in the market.
  • Support other general responsibilities and projects assigned.
  • Occasionally needed weekends and evenings.

Skills, Competencies and Personal Characteristics

  • Proficient in scheduling and analytics tools such as Facebook Ads Manager and Google Analytics.
  • Working knowledge of all major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube and TikTok.
  • Proficient in WordPress content management system, Microsoft Office, Google suite and Adobe Creative suite for graphic design needs.
  • Powerful written communication, including short and long-form content for blogs, websites, and other digital destinations.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to generate high-quality images from cell phones, DSLRs, and other tools.
  • Research and apply a deep understanding of emerging digital trends.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Flexible “can do” attitude and enjoy working and collaborating with teams.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
