Paris and San Francisco, September 8, 2022 /CSRwire/ – Platform.sh, a unified, secure, enterprise-grade platform for building, running and scaling web applications, today announced the appointment of Leah Goldfarb as Environmental Impact Officer. A first hire in the PaaS industry, Goldfarb will oversee the company’s green web hosting strategy as Platform.sh looks to further reduce the digital carbon footprint of its large enterprise customers.

Goldfarb holds a Ph.D. in atmospheric science and has worked in environmental science and policy for two decades. Prior to joining Platform.sh, Goldfarb was the Senior Science Officer in the Technical Support Unit of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Group 1, and previously served as the Science Officer for the International Council of Science, liaising with the United Nations around sustainable development. This appointment is a signal of Platform.sh’s intent to provide responsible website expansion and fleet management and become a more sustainable business. Under Goldfarb’s leadership, Platform.sh is currently participating in the B Corp certification process.
