Regulatory Affairs Professional Society (RAPS)

RAPS is seeking a Collaborative Marketing Manager to develop and execute all strategic marketing and communications activities for the AFDO/RAPS Healthcare Products Collaborative, a new joint venture to support sharing, collaboration and learning in the global medical products community.

This role is very focused on raising awareness of the collaboration and its events. Additionally, the role will support the creation of white papers and surveys to drive innovation across the market.

what will you do:

  • Develop and deploy strategic marketing campaigns in support of AFDO/RAPS
  • Work with leadership to set project goals and target audience
  • Assess opportunities to utilize available resources and authorize appropriately
  • Attend and report on team and planning meetings
  • Create unique message boards to incentivize viewers to sign up and sponsor
  • Manage attendee/speaker platforms to promote presence and encourage networking registrations (GleanIn)
  • Create compelling social media graphics to promote events and programs
  • Facilitate surveys across work teams to optimize engagement trends
  • Run lead generation campaigns to bring in new clients for attendee and sponsor acquisition
  • Manage and update website with valuable and engaging content; review and enhance SEO (WordPress)
  • Create and deploy all email campaigns through MailChimp
  • Monitor collaborative databases to improve data integrity and utilization
  • Identify weaknesses in existing campaigns and develop solutions within budget
  • Work with the design team to develop a creative brief and guide the creative direction of the event
  • Oversee and approve marketing materials; coordinate partner approvals (digital ads, proposals, on-site signage, badges, social media graphics, direct mail, PPT templates, walk-in slides, email HTML, case studies, video testimonials, booth/ popups and tchotchkeys/giveaways)
  • Prepare and monitor project marketing communications budgets
  • Experiment with organic and paid acquisition channels
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all collaborative public and media relations needs and inquiries
  • Write and distribute press releases for collaboration announcements and milestones
  • Cross-promoting collaborative programs, RAPS and AFDO at live events

What you will bring:

Experience/Education (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in marketing) or a combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years in a strategic marketing role
  • self-starting
  • Excellent copywriting/editing skills with proven results
  • Experience developing and executing multiple integrated cross-channel campaigns
  • Highly proficient in assessing use of available resources
  • Experience demonstrating strategic, creative and analytical thinking
  • Excellent internal/external communication and project management skills
  • Strong budget management and analysis capabilities
  • Good judgment, ability to make difficult decisions, keen negotiation skills
  • Strong, proactive, solution-based approach to problem solving
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media, email deployment systems, database management and list selection/segmentation; Google Analytics, SEO/SEM competency

experience (plus)

  • Some understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Familiar with Mailchimp, WordPress and GleanIn
  • Graphic design and/or video editing experience
  • Association/nonprofit and/or regulatory/health science experience
