24th Annual Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival Celebrates a Sparkling Tradition

Ferro, CA, December 1, 2022 – Now in its 24th year, the Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival will celebrate the region’s iconic grape May 19-21, 2023. The festival takes place throughout the Anderson Valley, with a grand tasting on Saturday, May 20 at the Scharffenberger Cellars.

The Anderson Valley Grape Growers Association hosts a grand tasting at a sparkling winery to highlight the importance and history of Pinot Noir in making extraordinary still and sparkling wines. Grand Tasting will feature some 50 producers pouring Pinot Noir, from sparkling to still to rosé. The winery includes Anderson Valley producers, as well as more than a dozen Napa and Sonoma producers who source fruit from the region.

In conjunction with the wine tasting, the Roederer Estate Family of Wines will host a VIP Bubble Lounge, pouring wines from the Roederer Estate, Scharffenberger Cellars and Louis Roederer Champagnes.

Other events during the festival include technical sessions led by industry experts, a gourmet sunset grill at Lula Cellars, and winery open houses throughout the valley.

This year’s BBQ will feature live music and plenty of great Anderson Valley wines! Join us at the Deep End in Lula Cellars’ beautiful vineyard for delicious BBQ, live music, and Lula’s famous Pinot Noir, with a special bottle shared by the valley’s winemakers. This will be a night you won’t soon forget!

The Anderson Valley Grape Growers Association (AVWA) was formed in 1983—the same year as the appellation.
